Foxfield Railway
Foxfield Railway is a great day out for all the family. This colliery line built in 1890 has been carefully maintained and improved by the hard working staff since the closure of the Foxfield Colliery in 1963 and provides a whole host of events throughout the year. Steam trains run from Caverswall Rd station to Dilhorne Park and there are plans to extend the service to the colliery in the new year.
Many thanks for the advice I have had from Roy, Ron and the staff during my visits to Foxfield.
